Spice has introduced a new Stellar-series smartphone, the Stellar 524, priced at Rs. 10,799. The smartphone is now listed on the company's site with no word on the release date; however, we expect that Spice will announce the availability in the coming days.

Recently, the Spice Stellar 524 went on sale via an e-commerce website at a discounted price of Rs. 8,899, while the MRP of the handset was listed as Rs. 10,799.

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Spice Stellar 524 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS LCD display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor (unknown chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a 3.2-megapixel front facing camera also onboard. The Spice Stellar 524 can shoot full-HD videos, and sports camera features such as panorama, HDR, voice photo capture, smile shot and more.

The handset packs 8GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options on the Spice Stellar 524 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS and USB 2.0. The battery on the smartphone is 2000mAh.

Earlier this month, the popular domestic handset maker launched three new smartphones under its 'Mi' brand, namely Stellar Mi-503, Stellar Mi-507 and Stellar Mi-516 - all of which feature dual-SIM support.

The new Stellar series smartphones were listed on the company's site with pricing - the Spice Stellar Mi-503 is priced at Rs. 6,249, the Spice Stellar Mi-507 at Rs. 6,999, and the Spice Stellar Mi-516 at Rs. 7,999.
