Asus Launches New Transformer Series Tablets and Laptops in India

Asus has expanded the Transformer Series in India with the launch of Transformer Flip Book TP550LD and Transformer Book T200 Windows-based laptops alongside the Transformer Pad TF103 Android tablet.

The Asus Transformer Flip Book TP550LD will be available in two processor variants - TP550LD-CJ086H with Intel Haswell i3 priced at Rs. 47,999 and TP550LD-CJ060H with Intel Haswell i5 at Rs. 53,999. The Transformer Book T200 (T200TA-CP004H), on the other hand, will be available at Rs. 35,999. The Transformer Pad TF103 tablet will come at Rs. 19,999.

The new Transformer Flip Book laptop features a 15.6-inch HD display and comes with 360-degree rotating touchscreen. As mentioned above, the Transformer Flip Book comes in two variants powered by Intel Core i3 clocked at 1.9GHz and i5 processors with NVIDIAGeForce NV 820M GPU. It runs Windows 8.1 and comes with 1TB of storage alongside 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The Transformer Flip Book sports a VGA front-facing camera.

The Transformer Book T200 laptop, on the other hand, features 11.6-inch HD (1366x768 pixels) touchscreen display. Asus touts that it is "a 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop with 11.6-inch tablet" as the display can be detached from the keyboard. It is powered by an Intel Z3775 Bay Trail processor clocked at 2.39GHz alongside 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of built-in storage alongside 500GB of HDD. Asus claims that the Transformer Book T200 can offer up to 10.4 hours of battery life.

The Windows 8.1-based Transformer Book T200 sports dual cameras - 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Micro HDMI, USB 3.0 port and USB (standard) port.

Lastly, the Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is a variant of the Asus Transformer Pad TF103C tablet launched at Computex this year. It sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with HD WXGA (1280x800 pixels) resolution and 170 degree wide viewing angle. The tablet, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with proprietary ZenUI, also offers dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, apart from integrated GPS and Glonass receivers. It is powered by dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor clocked at 1.6GHz alongside 1GB of RAM.

Asus Transformer Pad TF103 sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The inbuilt storage can be expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB) from the 16GB, which comes along with the device. Available in White and Black colour variants, the tablet also supports Micro-SIM and 3G connectivity. The tablet packs a 5070mAh battery.
