Xiaomi Redmi 4 vs Moto G5 vs Lenovo K6 Power

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 India launch has further intensified the competition in the budget smartphone segment. Redmi 4 is a direct competitor of two Lenovo stalwarts - the Moto G5 and Lenovo K6 Power.

Xiaomi Redmi 4, whose first sale is on May 23, comes in three variants, but only the top model (price Rs. 10,999) competes with the Lenovo K6 Power and Moto G5. It has a 5-inch HD screen, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 software, 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, up to 128GB microSD support, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and 4100mAh battery.

Moto G5, priced at Rs. 11,999, is the only Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone of the lot, and sports a 5-inch full-HD display. Running on the 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset, the smartphone has 3GB RAM and packs 16GB of internal storage, with support for expansion up to 128GB. Like the Redmi 4, it also has 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie shooter, but its battery capacity is relatively low at 2800mAh.

Lenovo K6 Power is the most affordably priced of the lot at Rs. 9,999. It sports a 5-inch full-HD, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, and up to 128GB storage expansion support. The K6 Power has a 13-megapixel camera on the back, and has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies. Its 4000mAh battery can be used to charge other smartphones too.
